Shingles Vax prevents dementia???

From Jeff Nelson: A few months ago the headlines were everywhere. The shingles vaccine cuts your dementia risk by 20 percent.
Some people on YouTube told their viewers to hurry out and get vaccinated to protect their brains.
I thought the finding was encouraging. I also thought: let’s see if it replicates.
That mattered more than usual after the video I made earlier this month, where editors of the world’s leading medical journals warned that a disturbing amount of published research is false, exaggerated, biased, or impossible to reproduce.
Well, researchers in England just ran the same kind of study.
At the vaccine cutoff, shingles went down. Dementia didn’t. The vaccine didn’t prevent any dementia cases in this one.
One study starts the conversation. It doesn’t finish it.
