Diagnosed with Diabetes? (DO THIS FIRST)

If I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes tomorrow, here are the 3 things I’d do immediately.

Not cut carbs.

Not panic.

Not obsess over numbers.

I’d fix the actual root problem: insulin resistance.

Here’s where I’d start:

âś… Stop adding fat to meals

No oil, no butter, no cheese.

Because excess fat inside muscle and liver cells is what interferes with insulin signaling and keeps blood sugar elevated.

âś… Rebuild meals around whole plant foods

Beans, lentils, fruit, vegetables, and intact whole grains.

Fiber slows glucose absorption, supports insulin sensitivity, and helps bring both fasting and post-meal blood sugar down naturally.

âś… Walk for 10 minutes after every meal

Not intense exercise — just a simple walk.

Muscle contraction helps pull glucose out of the bloodstream immediately, even without relying only on insulin.

Low fat + high fiber + 10-minute walks.

That’s where reversal begins.
