👉Orthotic Adjustment Period:  Orthotics should change foot function and re-distribute pressure for the better however, most people need a slow adjustment to this.  The best shoe for an orthotic has a good base such as a cross trainer sneaker. Google orthotic -friendly shoes and sandals for other specific footwear. Typically to make room for orthotics in shoes by removing the existing insole.  Start with wearing orthotics 1 hour per day then increase by an hour daily until wearing all day. Increase or decrease adjustment time as needed. I have found about 10% of people cannot tolerate orthotics but this is not known until you try them unfortunately.
