Insights into Early Human Plant-Based Diet
https://studyfinds.org/ancient-tooth-enamel-early-human-diet-meat/
Breaking new ground in our understanding of early human diet and evolution, scientists have discovered that our ancient relatives may not have been the avid meat-eaters previously believed. Research reveals that Australopithecus, one of humanity’s earliest ancestors who lived in South Africa between 3.7 and 3.3 million years ago, primarily maintained a plant-based diet rather than regularly consuming meat.

Scanning ultrasound-mediated memory and functional improvements do not require amyloid-β reduction | Molecular Psychiatry
March 18, 2024

Given the challenges of developing effective pharmacological treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease and other brain diseases, alternative strategies including low-intensity focused ultrasound (FUS) are currently being explored. At high intensity, ultrasound is being used as a focused, incisionless, FDA-approved surgical tool for ablating brain tissue and thereby treating diseases such as essential tremor and tremor-dominant Parkinson’s disease. At low intensity, ultrasound is being investigated as neuromodulatory and/or blood-brain barrier (BBB) opening tool in multiple animal species and human study participants.

Glyphosate Girl, Kelly Ryerson – How to protect yourself from agrotoxins in food
Aug 2023
Glyphosate does not wash off of food. It is a systemic herbicide absorbed and transported through the plant. Then we eat it.” -Kelly Ryerson
Kelly Ryerson is an environmental health writer, filmmaker, public health advocate, and founder of GlyphosateFacts.com
After healing her own chronic health issues with a gluten-free and organic diet, Kelly discovered that toxins and chemicals like glyphosate in Roundup are contributors to many chronic diseases in the U.S.
Kelly’s mission is to educate the public on how our food system, soil, and the health of millions of humans have been affected by the use of toxic pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides.
In this interview, we discuss the harms of glyphosate, atrazine, GMOs, and more. How they damage our bodies and simple ways you can reduce your exposure and minimize the harmful effects.
I’m thankful for the work that Kelly is doing to bring awareness of the harms of agrotoxins to the public and her mission to influence farmers, food producers, and policy-makers in our country. Enjoy!

Alzheimer’s Research: Brain Microbiome Breakthrough? | Dr. Neal Barnard …
Key points include:
Microbiome and Antivirals: New evidence suggests that the brain’s microbiome may play a role in Alzheimer’s. Antiviral medications, similar to those used for cold sores, could reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s by over 90%.
Vaccination: There is a correlation between receiving certain vaccines and a lower risk of Alzheimer’s, although vaccines can have risks.
Dietary impact: A Mediterranean diet, which avoids saturated fats, has been linked to a reduced risk of Alzheimer’s.
Exercise: Regular brisk walking can help regenerate the hippocampus, which is crucial for memory.
Antioxidants: Antioxidants, particularly vitamin E, may also play a role in reducing Alzheimer’s risk.
Omega-3 fatty acids: While omega-3 supplements are popular, there are concerns about their link to prostate cancer, suggesting a focus on natural sources instead.
Berries and anthocyanins: Foods rich in anthocyanins, like berries, are beneficial for brain health.
