Medicine is an art and a science and is one of the least standardized professional activities in each country. Given the novelty and complexity of illness SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing COVID-19 illness called doctors from all specialties with the courage to face the illness. With the worldwide nature of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, with >600M people affected and so many doctors engaged, it should come as no surprise that many different approaches developed over time and were found to be successful based upon empiric observations.

While the world had a hyper-focus on antivirals — hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, innovative doctors learned how to treat COVID-19 with a greater focus on inflammation, cytokine storm, and thrombosis. In many regions, to make matters worse, governments, hospitals, and pharmacies essentially made hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin unavailable.

This week’s Report features Dr. Maria Eugenia Barrientos, MD, from El Salvador in Central America.¹ She developed a practice of treating only the highest risk (~10%) patients (elderly, multiple medical problems) with a sequenced approach that featured non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents (Ibuprofen and naproxen), aspirin, nebulized budesonide, and oral prednisone.

Dr. Barrientos relied on laboratory patterns revealed in the complete blood count, hs-CRP, and d-dimer to triage and risk-stratify patients. Because the syndrome was more likely to induce respiratory epithelial tract injury, she relied upon conventional antibiotics (amoxicillin/clavulanate, and Levaquin) to cover bacterial superinfection. She developed a network of doctors in Central America and Spain, and she estimates they treated thousands of patients.

Barrientos emphasizes that catching patients within the first three days of illness allowed a lighter multidrug regimen than was commonly used in the United States, which employed an NIH guideline that encouraged doctors to defer early treatment. El Salvador, which has a population of 6.5 M according to Worldometer, recorded 201,785 cases and 4,229 deaths.

These are far lower in cases, and deaths per million population than the United States, albeit the population is younger and in a more temperate climate spend more time out of doors where the viral transmission is low. It should be no surprise that Dr. Barrientos has not found the killed virus or genetic vaccines to be effective in stopping COVID-19.  In this extended interview, she gives us insights into the lab abnormalities seen in those who have taken the genetic COVID-19 vaccines.

Sweden’s Public Health Agency said Friday it was no longer recommending that children aged 12 to 17 get vaccinated against Covid-19, citing the “very low risk” for the group.

The new recommendation will come into force on October 31.

“The decision means that as of November 1, 2022 only children in certain vulnerable groups are recommended to get and thereby offered vaccinations against Covid-19,” the agency said.

In September, Britain lifted its vaccine recommendation for healthy children under the age of 11.

“Overall we see that the need for care as a result of Covid-19 has been low among children and young people… and has in addition subsided since the Omicron variant started spreading,” Soren Andersson, head of the Public Health Agency’s vaccination department, said in the statement.

There is no doctor on earth who has been more pressured, coerced, threatened and hunted for her persistence in doing research and caring for high-acuity patients with COVID-19 than Dr. Jackie Stone. Her efforts have been resisted by authorities at the highest level in Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Stone recalls in an interview with Christine Clark in April 2021, on the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, “It was just pandemonium. We had patients that we couldn’t transfer out. We had people piling up in the car park dying, and it was actually terrible.¹ From 8th August until 24th December, I didn’t lose a patient, and if you look at our patient group, 26% of them [had oxygen saturations] of less than 80%”, she said.”

Thereafter, information about ivermectin and its effectiveness “spread like wildfire on social media, and the whole country became aware of ivermectin,” says Dr. Stone. Official authorization for the use of ivermectin was granted on 26th January 2021. Just one month later, on 26th February, the covid death rate had fallen to zero. Sales figures tell the story clearly. Retailers reported a 35-fold increase in ivermectin sales; distributors noted that whereas sales had amounted to 1057 bottles in January 2020, in January 2021, more than 8500 bottles were sold. Over the three-month period, December, January, and February, 500,000 doses of liquid ivermectin went out.

What happens next is astonishing; Dr. Stone is hunted by health authorities funded, she believes, by The Wellcome Trust, which is a charitable foundation focused on health research based in London. This organization Johne Leake and I describe as being part of the biopharmaceutical complex working to suppress COVID-19 treatment to advance the vaccine agenda.²

Stone ends up being jailed on bogus charges without due process and, since released, faces the prospect of imprisonment all for her efforts to save patients using ivermectin-based approaches. She has done all the right things as an academic physician, including teaming up with Dr. Colleen Aldous, an outcomes researcher and a professor in the College of Health Sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Their recent paper has just been published and completely vindicates Dr. Stone and her colleagues in the use of ivermectin.³ This is a story you are not going to want to miss!
