What Peter Rogers Eats in a Day

In the video he mentions beans, lentils, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, blueberries, banana, buys organic.

He eats white rice due to low arsenic content (due to corrupted soil), but says California grown rice is usually low arsenic.

“I always eat some beans, and fruits, and usually a salad at the same meal, which have lots of antioxidants etc to counteract any effect that a small amount of arsenic in the rice might cause. I’ve never had a noticeable problem from it. I used to eat white rice every night for dinner, with beans. Now, I only eat it about 3x per week.

The Romans would work all day, and then eat a big dinner at night, and this became standard. I knew also from experience that I would often get interested in studying something on Saturday mornings, and not want to eat, b/c once you eat, IQ drops, and want to take a nap; because the body shifts into PANS (Parasympathetic Autonomic Nervous System) mode = feed and breed, rest and digest.

Best diet for humans is 100% plant foods, starch based, 100% organic, low fat, low sodium, no sweets, no caffeine, no oil.

Workdays, I eat the OMAD (One Meal A Day) diet, b/c it saves 1.5-2 hours of time; for sleep etc.

The liver in a healthy person can easily maintain blood glucose for 24 hours. After 48 hours people start going into ketosis. I don’t want that.

The Gerald Shulman MD paper on mechanisms of insulin resistance (in physiological reviews) has a nice diagram showing the duration of liver glycogen breakdown, and gluco-neo-genesis (making glucose from amino acids, and glycerol). (glycerol is the carbon scaffold for triglyerides = fat).”
