New York Federal Judge left the door open for an appeal, but said:
“The question presented by this case is not whether plaintiffs and other individuals are entitled to a religious exemption from the Stateās workplace vaccination requirement,” Hurd wrote.
“Instead, the question is whether the Stateās summary imposition of [the mandate] conflicts with plaintiffsā and other individualsā federally protected right to seek a religious accommodation from their individual employers,” he continued, adding, “The answer to this question is clearly yes.”
